| Warshauer Electric Supply was founded in 1954 by Larry Feldman and Martin Warshauer. The original name was actually Feldman Electric Supply and it remained that way for some time. In 1978, Martin Warshauer retired and his son James Warshauer became president. Soon thereafter the name was changed to Warshauer Electric Supply. The Company has experienced dynamic growth under the direction of James ‘Jimbo' Warshauer. In 1989, the Company moved from its original Shrewsbury home to its present location in Tinton Falls. This 27,000 sq-ft facility currently houses Warshauer Electric Supply, The Commercial Lighting Department, the Switchgear Department, Generac Generator sales and service, The Lighting Design Center, Residential Automation Group and our Corporate Headquarters.
In 1996, to meet the demands of our growing customer base, we opened our second location, a 20,000 sq-ft facility in New Brunswick, NJ- a 3.5% sales tax Urban Enterprise Zone. A third location was added in 1998 in Lakewood, NJ. This 18,500 sq-ft facility is in the Lakewood Industrial Park - also a 3.5% sales tax UEZ. In June of 2000, the Company opened its fourth location, a 20,000 sq-ft facility in Parsippany, NJ and in February 2009 we opened a fifth location, a 15,000 sq- ft facility in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. This now gives us complete coverage statewide!

Our state-approved ‘ University' - Warshauer Tech - gives contractors the opportunity to earn valuable continuing education credits - the only NJ Electrical Distributor who can make that claim! Our Switchgear, Generator and Commercial Lighting Departments are the absolute best in the industry and provide true one-stop shopping for any commercial project. Our Builder program helps residential contractors sell electrical upgrades and our Lighting Design Center caters to the homeowners' every need for new home designs or remodeling projects. Our Automation Group gives contractors another revenue stream in an economy where every dollar counts. We also pride ourselves as being a true partner with our customers as our Builder Group, Generator Department, The Lighting Design Center and the Automation Group all provide a substantial amount of business leads that we pass on to our true business partners.
